What I Learned
I learned from Bilbo Baggins that life is short and you can't spend it all as a cautious and lazy bystander. If you spontaneously decide to run out your front door for an adventure, it can be a lot of fun and teach you a lot about yourself.
While reading The Hobbit, Thorin Oakenshield was my personal hero. However when he became consumed by greed my heart was broken and reading about his fall pained me greatly. I learned to always be aware of your desires and to consider if what you want is really worth what it will cost you.
